The Peninsula Wants Guests to Dine and Dash…Around Beverly Hills in a Vintage Car, That Is
No, the new thing to do isn’t actually to Dine and Dash, but to Drive and Dine. The Peninsula Beverly Hills is offering an unusual and highly desirable opportunity to guests of its legendary Sunday brunch at The Belvedere, thanks to its partnership with the Automobile Driving Museum. Museum docents will moonlight as chauffeurs every Sunday through April 25, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and drive lucky guests around Beverly Hills in restored classic cars.

Hearts and Stars to the Rescue
This past Saturday, March 20, 2010 the Hearts and Stars Gala took place at Casa Malinka, home of George Wallner, on Hibiscus Island benefiting the Little Lighthouse Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida. It was truly a collaborative effort spearheaded by the South Beach Athletic Club, a group of 100 successful men in Miami dedicated to the local lifestyle and giving back the community to those in need.

Real Estate Hunt Leads J.Lo and Marc to Vero Beach
It’s assumed that J.Lo and Miami go together like bread and butter. But Lopez and her crooning hubby are looking for beachfront real estate elsewhere (though we don’t really understand why). This search has led them just a few miles north to Vero Beach (we repeat, you can understand our confusion here). Another property comes to mind when J.Lo and Marc are mentioned: Icon Brickell in Miami. This raises big question marks since Anthony told People in September that he bought the condo and vowed to make it, “the sexiest place in town.”

Plastiki Goes Pacific for Recycling Awareness
In a rather unusual attempt to spread awareness about the environment, Plastiki, the world’s first boat made entirely of plastic bottles, set sail from San Francisco this past Saturday morning on an 11,000-nautical-mile trek to Sydney in order to raise awareness about the world’s waste problem. Environmentalist and banking heir David De Rothschild, whom we interviewed about a year ago for the March/April edition issue of Haute Living San Francisco, and a crew from his organization, Adventure Ecology, are particularly adamant about the issue of recycling and firmly believe more of it should be done.

Ice Palace Film Studios officially announced they've snatched up their west building, formally known as the dying Karu & Y, and reclaimed it as part of the overall complex. Between an overpriced menu and terrible location, we can't help but wonder why it took them three years to reclaim the space. The facility will now focus exclusively on being a production venue as well as host special events.
