His newest venture, Pulino’s Bar and Pizzeria in Manhattan with Keith McNally, is already receiving some pretty intense, but positive, reviews. Well, we figured it was bound to happen when the Big Apple is in Nate Appleman’s name. Pizza aficionado Adam Kuban, among others, already gave Appleman’s resto a heck of a thumbs up. But the James Beard Award-winner for "Best Rising Chef" is a bit uncertain about the skyrocketing notoriety.

Travel by Way of a 1917 Flying Boat
Bonhams, a privately owned auction house, is calling dibs on being the first to auction a vintage 1917 Curtiss MF Seagull Flying Boat in the Big Apple. The antique beauty was taken from the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland, Ohio and the sale of the craft is expected to garner between $300,000 and $500,000. Until the auction, it will be on public view in the sculpture garden atrium at 590 Madison Ave.
