I had the pleasure of driving out to London Jewelers in Manhasset, and spending an ample amount of time touring the flagship store (Thank you Sherry Mesh!) and learning the ins and outs of the watch industry from watch expert, Zach Udell. That whole store is quite an "experience"--from the home goods section to the vintage Chanel pieces, and of course the plethora of watches.

On Saturday, Feb. 19, Executive Chef James Rogers of Acqualina Resort &a Spa, Miami Beach’s only AAA Five Diamond Hotel, will be hosting an intimate wine pairing dinner experience at the resort’s Aaria Bar & Lounge. Chef Rogers has spent eight years perfecting his culinary artistry and joined Acqualina in 2010 after being warmly received at Casa de Campo Resort in the Dominican Republic, the Four Seasons Resort in Costa Rica, and Miami’s own Delano Hotel.

Last night, I happily made the trek up to 91st Street for the black tie opening dinner gala for the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum’s “Set In Style: the Jewelry of Van Cleef & Arpels” exhibition. The event was held in the Arthur Ross Terrace & Garden of the famed Carnegie mansion. We were served a delicious five-course dinner by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. So many people were there including the president & CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels for the Americas Nicolas Bos, the Associate Director of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum Carolyn Baumann, Cate Blanchett (who was wearing a Passe-partout necklace in yellow gold serpent chain with rubies and sapphires), Marisa Berenson, Kelly Rutherford (in Clelia earrings, necklace and ring), Piper Perabo (wearing Birds of Paradise earrings and the Volutes ring), Carolyn Murphy, Caroline Baumann, Vera Wang, Jason Wu, Lizzie and Jon Tisch, Waris Ahluwalia, Neville Wakefield, Olympia Scarry, Blake Lively, and Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mavinsky. Such an amazing crowd!
