Haute Event: Alexander Wang Hosts Star-Studded Grand Opening of his New Soho Boutique
New York Fashion Week is still going strong. And despite how much we love heading to Lincoln Center, it’s fun to mix it up once in a while during fashion week for a nice change in scenery. We’re pretty sure others agree, since yesterday evening, some of Manhattan’s finest joined Alexander Wang at the grand opening of the new Alexander Wang boutique in Soho.
Guests were invited to come mingle with other New York VIPs, sip Veuve Clicquot champagne, listen to beats by DJ Spankrock all while admiring the new boutique and the Alexander Wang Fall 2011 collection.
The guest list included the likes of Kanye West, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Karolina Kurkova, Zoe Kravitz, Joe Zee, Derek Blasberg, Santigold, Meredith Melling-Burke, John Demsey, Karen Elson, Cecilia Dean, Fabiola Beracasa, Irina Lazareanu, and Lauryn Hill, who gave an unexpected surprise performance later on in the evening.
If you missed the event, fret not. The Alexander Wang boutique officially opens to the public, tomorrow, Feb. 17. The boutique is located at 103 Grand Street in Soho.
