Bellini Williams Island Finally Makes Its Come Back
William Island—located in ritzy Aventura has been a long time favorite for those locals down here in South Florida (not to mention that Aventura has some of the best beaches, dinning, and shopping there is)
This year, the Island is proudly moving forward with new developments—Bellini Williams Island, a 24 story building that will have somewhere around 70 units (original plans were posed to have this up by 2010). This is the first pre-construction development to actually hit South Florida in 2011.

Haute 100 Update: Donna Karan Co-Hosts 14th Annual Super Saturday in the Hamptons for Ovarian Cancer
Celebrity designer and Haute 100 New York member Donna Karan hosted the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s (OCRF) annual fundraiser on Saturday, July 30, along with TV personality Kelly Ripa and actress Emma Roberts in the Hamptons. The Super Saturday event was the 14th annual, and was successful in raising a well-needed $3.5 million to fund research for ovarian cancer, which causes over 15,000 deaths a year in the US alone.

Haute MD: A Connection Between Rhinoplasty and Body Dismorphic Disorder?
A study in the Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons revealed that an alarmingly high percentage of patients seeking rhinoplasty display symptoms of body dysmorphic disorder, or BDD. The disorder, which is often called “imagined ugliness,” is characterized by an unnatural fixation on one’s appearance. The difference between someone who is self-conscious about a particular feature versus someone who has BDD is that the disorder severely interferes with daily functioning.
