A native to New York, Pauline Sung always knew she wanted to write and came to Miami to pursue a Bachelors degree in English at Florida International University. Prior to joining the Haute Living team, she spent time working in public relations and teaching reading comprehension. She has an ardent love for great food and drink, and loves to explore the local culinary scene. While she’s not clacking away on her laptop, Pauline can be found seeking out new places to shop, eat, and drink, taking in some live music, trying out new recipes, chasing down a food truck, or just exploring the city.

Louis Vuitton has been celebrated for their luxury bags and travel goods that have all stemmed from this historic piece.

Qatar is World’s Biggest Contemporary Art Buyer after $430M Spending Spree

The United Arab Emirates have been on the up-and-up, as recently evidenced by their upscale mega-malls, luxury residential towers, and Qatar’s most recent accolade as the world’s biggest buyer of contemporary art. The emirate may be tiny, but their buying power is big after the royal family went on a massive art shopping spree to enhance the emirate’s cultural portfolio in anticipation of the 2022 World Cup. According the UK’s Guardian, Qatar has been responsible for the majority of contemporary and modern art purchases from the past six years, including works by artists like Andy Warhol and Mark Rothko.

Haute Time: Louis Vuitton Acquires Geneva-based La Fabrique du Temps

Famed French brand Louis Vuitton, owned by luxury industry giant LVMH, recently announced their acquisition of Geneva-based La Fabrique du Temps, the high-end timepiece manufacturer that specializes in conception and fabrication of celebrated movements like tourbillons and minute repeaters. This is not the first time the brands have collided; since La Fabrique du Temps’ inception in 2007, the watchmaker has worked with Louis Vuitton ever since. This deal comes after LVMH’s rival PPR acquired high-end watchmaker Sowind Group last week.

When the popular Chipotle chain of tasty Mexican grill restaurants hit the U.S., it did so with fervor. Quickly sweeping the nation with spots opening up on what seemed like every corner and strip mall, the delicious craze was undoubtedly a success. According to Grub Street, rumors abounded earlier this week that the popular chain is now looking to open 200 locations in the U.K., with only one currently existing in London.
