- Born and raised in Mexico City, Patricia Garate moved to Miami when she was 10 years old. Growing up in Miami, she learned the true definition of haute living; Miami is all about luxury lifestyle. Although she had always had an eye for fashion, it was not until she really immersed herself in Miami lifestyle that she realized that fashion was the industry she saw herself in and wanted to go into. After graduating from Carrollton, an all-girl Catholic school, she moved to New York to study design and management at Parsons. She is currently still a student at Parsons and has recently joined the Haute Living team. She works in the fashion department researching current fashion trends and blogging about anything haute. On her spare time, she can be found blogging for her own fashion blog, HouseOfMod, which she started with Carmen Ucelay, who is also part of the Haute Living team.
