Look out Miami! Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia is about to take the Magic City by storm. Bendet, who recently embarked on a cross country tour with a team of photographers, stylists, DJs, and a + o friends, is steering their vintage 1970’s Airstream toward our fair, albeit sweltering, city for a weekend whirlwind of trunk shows, makeovers, and fashion fun.

As we all learn to be a little more eco-conscious in our daily lives, it is always nice to hear of our favorite brands doing their part to aid the environment. In 2005, when Bono—one of the world’s greatest champions for diversity, change, and reform—and his equally “active” wife Ali Hewson founded the ethical clothing company EDUN, the fashion world cheered.

Michael Kors has kicked off his summer with a bang. First he received the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award on June 7, and today it was announced that the American fashion designer will be honored with the top cancer service award by the Cancer Research Institute.

Sometimes less is more. And while we have all indulged in some over-the-top jewels in recent seasons, who’s to say we can’t scale it back a notch and stick with something a little more, er, classic?

The CFDA Awards were held on Monday evening, and while most of the evening’s biggest winners were the folks behind the design of the chic looks seen on these leading ladies, we think the Red Carpet glam deserves a little praise. Boldest Ensemble goes to SJP’s form-fitting, electrifying McQueen number and Rachel Zoe’s dazzling Marc Jacobs dress with plunging neckline. Lara Stone’s simple yet modern Calvin Klein sheath proves that less is more, while Amanda Brooks reminded us of white’s appeal in her flirty Thakoon mini. Finally, Devon Aoki looks utterly divine in her black and white Zac Posen gown. And for extra fun, we couldn’t help but including the always beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow in Michael Kors.
