Tomorrow night, the Sagamore hotel gets in on the Earth Day celebrations by hosting the Environmental Coalition of Miami & the Beaches (ECOMB) annual green fundraiser. The event, hosted by Jeffrey D. Forster and Michael Laas, has all of the ingredients to guarantee a good time like music by the Green Music alliance, acai cocktails by Veev, organic gourmet bites by Whole Foods and an eco fashion presentation by Aos on display.

Earth Day is April 22 and there are a myriad of Earth Day celebrations and activities next Friday giving South Florida residents the chance to show their awareness and support to going green. This year’s Earth Day theme is A Billion Acts of Green so to get an early start and make sure to reach that billion, head to downtown Miami to kick things off.

Miami’s hautest fashion and design crowd gathered at the newly reopened Gucci boutique in Bal Harbour for an exclusive cocktail party on April 5. Gucci partnered with The Wolfsonian–Florida International University to fete the Italian fashion house’s 90th anniversary at the invitation only event.

March 25 was a big night for the Miami City Ballet. The curtains rose on the eagerly anticipated premiere of John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet and a black tie gala was held celebrating the ballet’s 25 year anniversary.

It’s time for Miami’s yearly polo fix as the AMG Miami Beach Polo World Cup competes on our sandy shores for a 7th year in a row. The evening will feature an auction of eight one a kind chairs designed by Miami’s A-list including artist and Haute 100 Iran Issa Khan, celebrity photographer Seth Browarnik, interior designer and design expert from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Thom Filicia, and a chair designed by The Real Housewives of Miami. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Juvenile Bipolar Research Association which also served as the inspiration for each design.
