Save the Date: MIYO Home hosts a Chair–ity Cocktail and Auction on March 30

Thinking of redecorating?  Mark your calendars for March 30 as the day for furniture shopping and cocktails in the Design District as MIYO Home celebrates the launch of their virtual boutique with a very unique auction and cocktail party.

The evening will feature an auction of eight one a kind chairs designed by Miami’s A-list including artist and Haute 100 Iran Issa Khan, celebrity photographer Seth Browarnik, interior designer and design expert from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Thom Filicia, and a chair designed by The Real Housewives of Miami. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Juvenile Bipolar Research Association which also served as the inspiration for each design.

The custom made chairs will be on display the entire evening in MIYO Home’s Zen Garden where cocktails will be served as guests mingle with the designers who will be on hand sharing more on the inspiration and ideas behind each piece.

Other participants putting their design expertise to work on chairs for this event are architect, designer and developer Mario Egozi, interior designers Hillary Scrutis, Briggs Solomon and Robert Zemnickis and landscape designer Fernando Wong.

Dr. Demitri F. Papolos, M.D., Director of Research for the Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation will also be in attendance commemorating MIYO Home and providing more information on the foundation’s research including early diagnosis and treatment of juvenile bipolar disorder.
