The newest place to party in Hollywood is the new 1920s theatre-themed nightclub called The Emerson Theatre that has officially opened its doors on January 9. The new venue has taken over the former home to MyHouse and has been designed by SBE’s Mark Zeff. The Emerson Theatre features a DJ station, two bars, oversized booths, with unique fixtures and trimming, ideal for a very enjoyable night.

On Monday, January 14, Redfin has officially revealed its list of the 10 US neighborhoods that will be most “up-and-coming” in 2013 and after much polling their brokers, along with narrowing down data, Highland Park in California is in fact number one on the list. After looking over each area’s market at the end of 2012, it was clear that California completely topped the list with eight neighborhoods based on four categories: on-market listings, sales volume, median price square foot and sale-to-list ratio.

Since 2005, it seems that cofounder and 2010 gubernatorial candidate George Marciano has had quite a journey in attempting to sell his enormous Beverly Hills estate. Thankfully, producer Jerry Bruckheimer has made an offer of $23 million for the home that sits on more than two acres on land. The beautiful home was originally designed by Robert D. Farquhar and built for Columbia Pictures head Harry Cohn back in 1927. The lovely Beverly Hills home was then purchased by Marciano in 1988, who has initially anticipated $24.5 million for the home.
