LA’s Highland Park Voted Hottest Up and Coming Neighborhood in America

On Monday, January 14, Redfin has officially revealed its list of the 10 US neighborhoods that will be most “up-and-coming” in 2013 and after much polling their brokers, along with narrowing down data, Highland Park in California is in fact number one on the list. After looking over each area’s market at the end of 2012, it was clear that California completely topped the list with eight neighborhoods based on four categories: on-market listings, sales volume, median price square foot and sale-to-list ratio.

Overall, Highland Park is definitely the hottest neighborhood to many residents but it’s good to finally see data confirm it, along with Faircrest Heights coming in at number two for Los Angeles. This neighborhood lies in Mid-City near Fairfax, Pico, Venice and La Cienega, so it’s no surprise that this is indeed one of the hottest neighborhoods in America, but these aren’t the only LA neighborhoods that made the list, Glassell Park and Eagle Rock are within the top 10 list as well.
