Katie Sweeney is a San Francisco-based journalist who has created lifestyle, culinary, and luxury content for over a decade at many nationally-known and respected publications. Prior to Haute Living, Katie was a contributing editor at MyDomaine, the LA-based lifestyle website, writing over 20 stories per week. Before that, Katie worked as a personal chef to the Newsom family for two years. She catered and orchestrated many of Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom and his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s personal events. Katie got her start at PopSugar, where she was the founding editor of its food channel. During her five years at PopSugar, she established a following over 750K readers, represented the brand at countless national culinary events like the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, and launched a popular video cooking series.
