The Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series took place this past Thursday on March 25, 2010. Cielo served as the bold and beautiful location for guests to enjoy the night’s festivities. Guests were pampered with flavorful, specialty Bombay Sapphire Cocktails from 7 till 10 pm. The lavish event benefited Russell Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation and if you recall Mr. Simmons graced our magazine cover not too long ago.

As a prelude to the Sony-Ericsson Open, The Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne in partnership with Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center, co-hosted an inaugural event with tennis icons; Andy Roddick, Kim Clijsters, Guillermo Canas, Darren Cahill, and Cliff Drysdale as well. An unbelievable 40 competitors arrived that afternoon competing for the coveted top three-men/women spots that guaranteed playtime with both Roddick and Clijsters in a Round Robin tournament. After some sweat, serves, and backhands, both players and VIP guests met at the tennis garden’s hard court…

It’s safe to say that everything Tony Goldman touches turns to gold, which is why his latest project — The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse (which also happens to be the venue for the dinner) — is expected to achieve unparalleled and immediate success as a performance studio when it officially opens in January of 2011. The place to be on May 8 is at the annual Friends Dinner, which will take place at the new and uber-trendy Wynwood arts space, The Light Box. Presented by the Miami Light Project, the dinner is honoring chairman and CEO of Goldman Properties, the force behind the revamped areas of South Beach in Miami and Soho in New York.

Joan Lunden, long-time former co-host of ABC’s Good Morning America and activist for women’s wellness, is hosting a weekend filled with adventure and empowerment for the ladies. Reveille on the Road at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain will be taking place from April 15-18.

Mr. Bam himself, Emeril Lagasse is the latest honoree to be recognized for his philanthropic efforts on behalf of the Food Bank for New York City’s Eighth Annual Can-Do Awards. Co-chaired by chef and author Mario Batali and his wife Susan Cahn, and hosted by Golden Globe and Academy Award nominee (and previous honoree) Stanley Tucci, the dinner will take place April 20 at Abigail Kirsch’s Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River, and will include cocktails, awards, a live auction and several as-of-now unannounced musical performances.

Zac Posen’s newest project, the new condo building 16W21, has been gaining quite a bit of buzz. The famous 29-year-old fashion designer and Anna Wintour protégé has been keeping annoyingly mum about the whole thing but snippets of information from others in the know have given us something to report.
