Artist, Stephen Gamson’s (www.gamsonart.com ) star is shining bright these days. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he is Harvard educated as an art history major and world traveled, all of which have helped Gamson evolve into the artist he is today. He began drawing as a child and visiting art museums and in his teens started collecting art from then unknown street artists such as Keith Haring.

Tuesday night, renowned fashion designer Zac Posen dropped his needle and thread as he made the seamless transition from fashion to interior design with his first residential project at a premier boutique development at 16W21. The building is located in the Ladies’ Mile Historic district of Manhattan and has 14 stories divided into nine units, stocked with one garden townhouse, five full-floors, two duplexes, and a triplex penthouse.

The theatrical set designs of mannequins impress as you enter the atelier. The couture pieces are more like artwork and the back wall actually showcases an artistic portrait of the designer herself.

Jean De Merry, the luxurious interior designer hosted a cocktail celebration in honor of his new Melrose Place location. The event featured an exhibition of Douglas Friedman’s latest photography collection titled “Take It Off,” which focuses on burlesque dancers.

The International Center of Photography welcomed guests to Pier 60 to celebrate the 26th Annual Infinity Awards.
