The Raphael House, “One Home, Many Hearts” Gala

The Raphael House will be celebrating their 2010 Benefit gala on April 17, 2010. This year the gala will take on a 1920s approach to celebrating with a “speakeasy” themed soiree. Festivities begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail and champagne reception at the legendary Bimbo 365 club in North Beach neighborhood.

Jaime Dimon Looking For A Successor

Looks like JP Morgan Chase’s CEO has finally laid out his plan for a successor. In a letter Jaime Dimon has announced that he will be “shuffling” the order of his top execs so that in the event he does decide to leave the bank then the company will be prepared. According to the New York Post, those that should expect to see a change in their job title are CFO Michael Cavanagh; Charlie Scharf, CEO of the retail-services unit, and Samuel Maclin, CEO of commercial banking.

San Francisco’s Legendary Drake Hotel Up For Sale

A struggling economy takes no prisoners and not even the legendary Drake Hotel is immune to financial woes, so once again, this San Francisco landmark is back on the market. Chartres Lodging and a Dubai based investment firm had purchased the hotel back in 2005, for a total of $65 million from Kimpton. In the five years that the hotel was in their possession, the Drake has undergone a total of $204,000 per room renovations.

May is For Multiple Sclerosis – and the Chance to Take Home a Lambo from a Live Auction

Mark your calendars for the month of May, because on the 7th, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in L.A., Nancy Davis, a multiple sclerosis survivor and advocate will be holding the 17th annual Race to Erase MS to raise money for multiple sclerosis. Since 1993, Davis has raised more than $30 million for the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis and its Center Without Walls program, which was founded by Davis herself.
