There’s only one thing we love more than fine wine, and that’s designer shoes. On April 15, we’ll see our two favorites come together in San Francisco, for what is sure to be a fabulous event of shopping, giving, and socializing. Saks Fifth Avenue and Vivanista Inc. are collaborating with the “Shoemelliers” from the fundraising event series Wine Women & Shoes, all in the name of fab footwear. These powerful forces have come together to celebrate the debut of the Choo 24:7 Collection by Jimmy Choo with an eagerly-anticipated launch party attended by the who’s who of shoe-obsessed fashionistas.
Held at the Shoe Salon at Saks Fifth Avenue in Union Square, guests at the fete will enjoy sauvignons and pinot gris by One Vine Wine as they scope out the spoils of the new collection by Jimmy Choo. Proving the people at Saks have heart as well as fashionable feet, the luxury retailer will donate ten percent of sales from the evening to local San Francisco nonprofit Children of Shelters. So if you live too far from San Francisco to drop by for the evening, or if your private jet is already scheduled to take you to Ibiza for the night, don’t despair. There will be other opportunities to see if the Choo fits, with additional events scheduled in Atlanta, Dallas, Raleigh, and San Antonio. Here’s a little tip to keep in mind for the party: the guest(s) of honor are the shoes, so expect everyone’s attention to be a little diverted–it’s impolite not to fawn over the person (or thing) being celebrated!
