Tomorrow night Haute Living teams up with Luxury Attaché and Hugo Boss to host Rock/Freak with DJ Cassidy and Questlove at LAVO– sure to be the hautest party of Fashion Week. And probably the century.

It should come as no shock that Brooklyn-raised Jay-Z will have a hand in development as the New Jersey Nets prepare to move to his old stomping grounds. The “Marcy-to-Madison-Square” wonder remains loyal to his roots and is working diligently alongside SHoP architects on a series of 11 luxury suites; dubbed, “The Vault” at Barclays Center–the Nets’ new home arena.

For Kate Spade’s Fall 2012 Runway debut, the designer was pining for a bold and fun nail on the models. Deborah Lippmann answered said lacquer prayers. Polka dots. Yes, the models donned polka dotted frocks from the collection and a complimenting polka dot design on their nails.

Let’s be real; fashion week is just as much about the looks and the runway shows as it is about the parties. At that, I took the liberty of rounding up some of the hautest happenings around town this weekend in celebration of all things couture.

Jay-Z’s momentum just keeps gaining. We can’t help but post about this talented new fathers endeavors once again. In early December, Haute 100 lister Jay-Z announced two consecutive performances at Carnegie Hall, which would serve as fundraisers for his non-profit, the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, and the United Way of New York City.

Last night was the much anticipated amfAR gala in NYC, presented by Hublot. Roberto Cavalli and Anna Wintour, among others, were honored for leading the global struggle against HIV/AIDS. The black-tie benefit was hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker and featured a dinner, auction, and special performances by Janelle Monae and Theophilus London.
