What a treat to go the premiere of “Sex and the City 2” in London with my elegant and fabulous friends Rena Sindi and Giulia Caltagirone Azmoudeh. When we arrived at the theater, we were escorted to a private cocktail party with the cast of the movie, a few of our friends, and the Warner Bros. executives.

On Friday night, Goga Ashkenazi hosted an intimate royal dinner for her good friend Prince Andrew at her magnificent home in Holland Park.

Sunday afternoon I was off to the London countryside where we went for the Dellal-Crewe wedding, which was held at Guy and Andrea Dellal’s home. Max Crewe and Charlotte Dellal, now Mrs. Charlotte Crewe, beamed as they said their nuptials under the Huppa made of trees and flowers. The dress was by designer Giambattista.

What a fun day in beautiful NYC. First stop was lunch with Nicole Hanley, Lesley Schulhof, and Daniella Rich at Bottega Del Vino, which is always such a fun scene around 1 p.m. Next stop was at Emilia Fanjul’s house for a trunk show from designer Celestina. And last but not least, a catch-up dinner with friends.

This weekend I had a very different experience. My cousin, Justin Collins, married a Sikh woman named Sona Rai. This was my first experience at a Sikh wedding. The way the couple met was featured in the “New York Times” style section. Following the weekend event, I started my week this afternoon at a going-away luncheon at Doubles, hosted by my friend Susan Block Casdin’s grandmother. Susie and her husband will be moving to San Diego for two years. We will all miss her when she is gone.

What a great week it has been. On Wednesday night was the screening of MacGruber. Then, yesterday was the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Fashion Show and Luncheon, held at Cipriani 42nd Street, where Dior sponsored the event. The night ended with dinner at The Lion, of course.

First stop on the Monday night agenda was the Audemars Piguet watch event and auction at the Four Seasons. Vanessa Williams and Jay-Z were both stealing the spotlight for the evening and helping to auction off exclusive Audemars Piguet timepieces for the label’s “Time to Give” initiative. After the main event, we continued on with an after party at the flagship boutique. The next stop of the evening was a screening hosted by Dennis Paul and Coralie Charriol Paul. Coralie brought the cool crowd back to SoHo House, where she is a founding member, for the latest installment of her “React to Film” screening series, which casts the spotlight on issue-based documentaries shown in front of an intimate audience.

Last Wednesday was a typical night in New York City. My friend Charlotte Freund called me a week before and asked me to be her guest at a movie premiere. Afterward, we headed down to Lion, where it is always hopping. I continued on through the weekend, enjoying all the haute offerings of our splendid city. The weekend ended on Sunday with a lazy day at the Regency with Jarrod Posner and his new baby, the Lerners and their baby Cali, Edourd and Brooke Gerschel with their baby soon to come, John Dempsey, Marielle and Edmond Safra, and Denise Kaufman. I rounded out the day with dinner at Lizzie Grubman’s place.

On Thursday night, May 14, friends of mine whose names will have to remain a secret, threw a little private birthday party at the Core Club. I am allowed to tell you who was in attendance, but not allowed to reveal who the fabulous hosts were. The birthday party started out elegant at the cocktail hour, but after the dinner, the guests started to boogie down.
