Jewelry devotees, fashionistas and Upper East Siders flocked to the Park Avenue home of Sima Ghadamian in the rain for a magical evening of Persian food and music. Sima who recently purchased David Webb Precious Jewels along with Mark Emanuel and Robert Sadian invited guests to an exclusive preview of never-before-seen jewelry from the David Webb archives.

I always love going to Los Angeles for a few relaxing days. On Tuesday night, my friend Barry Gesser and I took his plane from New York to L.A. It rained on Wednesday, but that didn’t stop me! I had a great lunch at La Scala with Jane Mass, and then headed over to see Rob and Doug Ellin in the afternoon. (Doug is the producer of “Entourage.”) That night, Barry, Alex Von Furstenburg, Ali Kay, Sarah Collins and I had a mellow dinner at Carmine’s, an Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills. It was a wonderful surprise running into Natalie Cole at dinner, where we caught up for a while.

On Tuesday night, I attended Dylan Lauren’s event at her store Dylan’s Candy Bar, where she graciously autographed copies of her new book, “Unwrap Your Sweet Life,” for her fans. Her entire family came to support her including her parents, Ricky and Ralph Lauren, her brother, David Lauren, her fiancée Paul Arrouet, and her friends Stacey Bendet, David Schulhof, Darcy Nussbaum, Lauren Bush and Lizzie and Jon Tisch.

On Wednesday evening, I attended the AVNUE Antiques and Art at the Armory opening night preview with Lizzie and Jon Tisch, Peter Davis, Mark Gilbertson, Gigi Stone, and Alex Kramer before heading to the Giorgio Gucci Gala, A Night of Italian Glamour that Couri Hay put together at the Taj Pierre Hotel.

On Wednesday, Lana Wolkonsky Forstmann hosted an intimate lunch at La Grenouille for Serena Boardman, who just had a new baby girl named Serena. We were joined by Daniella Rich and Ulla Parker.

On Wednesday, I had lunch at Cipriani Downtown with Loree Rodkin, Ingrid Casares, Goga Ashkenazi and Lizzie Grubman then we did a little shopping at Diane Von Furstenberg, Jeffrey, and Valentino to get some outfits for the evening. Our first stop was the Humane Society of the United States’ Make History Gala, hosted by Amanda Hearst. Guests included Topper Mortimer, Georgina Bloomberg, Beth Ostrosky, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Luke Weil, David and Dylan Lauren, Moby, Andrew Lauren, and Debbie Bancroft.

This weekend was filled with fasting, eating and some playing. Friday night was a great holiday dinner at Nancy and Jeff Lance’s house before the fast. Saturday was Yom Kippur, so it was very mellow, fasting and relaxing with my newly engaged friend Dylan Lauren. Then the big breakfast at Lizzie and Jon Tisch’s house. They had both family and friends there. One of their friends runs 50 marathons a year!

The first stop Wednesday night was at Saks Fifth Avenue for Lizzie Tisch’s Citymeals-on-Wheels event. After her event, Lizzie and I did some shopping and bought a bunch of Brian Atwood shoes; we love him.

On Tuesday I had a quick lunch at Fred’s with Stacey Pashcow, Anita Ko, Lizzie Tisch, Inga Rubenstein, Ulla Parker and Coralie Chariole. Then I was off to the Dennis Basso show.
