Dori's World: Tuesday at Fashion Week

On Tuesday I had a quick lunch at Fred’s with Stacey Pashcow, Anita Ko, Lizzie Tisch, Inga Rubenstein, Ulla Parker and Coralie Chariole. Then I was off to the Dennis Basso show. I was in Dennis Basso of course, with my Brian Atwood shoes, Jack Vartanian earrings and an Anita Ko necklace. Dennis’ show was great. I love the dresses he has for next season. I saw Lizzie Grubman, Elie Tahari and of course Dennis’ boyfriend Michael, Marci Warren, Anna Wintour, André Leon Talley, Somers Farkas, Pamela Finkelstein and Gilane Maxwell. Everyone comes out to see Dennis Basso’s show. After his show, Inga, Coralie and I went to the Victoria’s Secret suite to give a quick hello to Monica Mitro. They have so much going in that suite besides giving away free lingerie.

On Tuesday night, Stacey Bendet the owner and designer of Alice + Olivia, put on an amazing presentation. The models were all dressed in Alice + Olivia looks on one side of the room and a rock band performed on the other. Nina Garcia, Eric Eisner (Stacey’s husband), Dylan Lauren, Maria Buccecelltai and Ali Wise all stopped in to support Stacey.

Peter Davis was hosting a party for the launch of Tru Prep, which was at Brooks Brothers. Elizabeth Meigher, Alex Baldwin and Andy Cohen call came out for it. Hermès did a small cocktail party at their store where Lizzie Tisch, Robert Verdi and Inga Rubenstein popped into.

Then I was off to the Marc Newson dinner. Inga and Zeta Graff went. I held a dinner at Tao. Lizzie Grubman, Ali Wise, Shoshanna Gross, Sarah Howard, Andy Smith, Michael Barouk, Ari Horwitz, Jennifer Raines, Jason Pomeranc and John Mason were there. Then off to Lavo we went. Noah Teppenberg, Jason Strauss and Rich Thomas were there. Well done, I must say. They did a beautiful job with the old Au Bar with the restaurant upstairs and the club downstairs. Kiliaen Van Rensselaer, David Reuben, Tinsley Mortimer, Topper Mortimer, Jeffrey Epstein, Gilane Maxwell, Luca Luca, Gigi and Avrey Mortimer, Valerie Boster and Nicky Hilton were there. Last night was like one of those great nights. So old school.
