Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa Plans For Renovations & New Experiences For 2025
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, the Hamptons’ only oceanfront resort, has announced an exciting new chapter with a wave of renovations and enhanced guest experiences set for 2025. These transformative updates will include a redesigned lobby, refreshed dining spaces, and the debut of gigi’s Montauk—a new flagship restaurant poised to redefine luxury dining and social gatherings in Montauk.

Set to open in spring 2025, Gigi’s Montauk will showcase fresh coastal cuisine, drawing inspiration from local ingredients and global influences under the guidance of new culinary leadership. Designed to reflect the relaxed elegance of the Hamptons, the restaurant will serve as the resort’s vibrant social center—ideal for celebrating special moments and creating lasting memories. Complementing this flagship space will be gigi’s café, offering coffee and light fare in the morning before transforming into an all-day eatery featuring a fresh raw bar.
“Gurney’s Montauk has long been an iconic retreat in the Hamptons, cherished for its timeless appeal and captivating seaside setting,” said Michael Nenner, President & COO of Gurney’s Resorts. “This transformation marks a significant milestone in our journey, as we thoughtfully curate an experience that honors our legacy while solidifying Gurney’s Montauk as a leader in luxury hospitality in the Northeast.”
To facilitate the renovations, Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa will temporarily close from December 8, 2024, through February 3, 2025. Upon reopening, guests will get an early glimpse of the resort’s evolution. Signature amenities, including the celebrated Seawater Spa, will remain available, and guests can savor culinary offerings at the Dune Lounge—formerly known as the Regent Cocktail Club. The Dune Lounge will feature an all-day menu with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails, offering a seamless dining experience ahead of gigi’s montauk’s grand debut.
