Creative Fusion at the Rubell Museum with The Macallan

The event began with a delightful welcome drink, The Macallan Copa, a refreshing cocktail featuring the 12-year-old Macallan Double Cask. This well-balanced single malt is known for its rich flavors of honey, citrus, and ginger.

Guests gathered in the picturesque library to indulge in a captivating experience with The Macallan’s collaboration with renowned British pop artist Sir Peter Blake. The Anecdotes of Ages Collection is an extraordinary art and whisky partnership with the iconic artist celebrating The Macallan’s rich legacy and Sir Peter Blake’s remarkable contribution to the art world.

This exceptional single-malt whisky was meticulously crafted to commemorate Sir Peter Blake’s visit to The Macallan Estate, situated along the legendary River Spey. Entitled “An Estate, A Community, and A Distillery,” this whisky weaves a narrative that introduces some of the vibrant characters from The Macallan’s past and present, showcased with a label that Sir Peter personally designed in digital form.

Following this exclusive tasting, guests embarked on a remarkable culinary journey with a vibrant seasonal tomato and basil cracker, followed by the indulgent Japanese bluefin tuna tartare with a heritage farm egg and crowned with the opulence of Kaluga caviar.

Culinary enthusiasts sipped on the Iberian Harmony cocktail made with The Macallan The Harmony Collection made with rich cacao, infused with Cinco Jotas Jamón Ibérico, Crème de Cacao, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, chocolate, and orange bitters.

For the main course, attendees dined on seared branzino, adorned with a Bilbaina emulsion, and a delectable potato tart, while the Wagyu filet mignon, prepared to perfection, with delicious accompaniments potato tart, Basque piperade, and demi-glace. In a sweet finale, guests relished a Basque cheese tart.

The evening concluded with a sensory experience guided by Katie Nahat, brand ambassador for The Macallan, and a tasting of The Macallan Rare Cask. An annual masterpiece, The Macallan Rare Cask served as a testament to The Macallan’s unmatched expertise in the art of wood craftsmanship. With its all-natural hue and a unique flavor profile, it showcased a harmonious blend of woody subtleties seamlessly entwined with hints of vanilla, succulent fruits, and delightful, sweet spices.
