What Makes Him Haute Now: After leaving eBay, the entrepreneur has been focusing his energy on philanthropic efforts, including the foundation he created, called the Skoll Global Threats Fund, which tackles different aspects of environmental issues. He also keeps busy with his independent film production company, Participant Productions, which produced the Academy Award-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth. The production company also produced last year’s The Soloist and The Informant. According to Forbes, Skoll’s net worth comes in at $2.4 billion.
