Joanne and Noah Are Moving In: Kristen Bell and Adam Brody Throw a Housewarming for Nobody Wants This Season 3
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody celebrated Nobody Wants This Season 3 with a housewarming party in LA on Oct. 14.
Forget the red carpet. When Joanne and Noah finally move in together, apparently the only appropriate response is a housewarming. On October 14, Kristen Bell and Adam Brody traded the usual premiere step-and-repeat for a party at a private Los Angeles home to celebrate Season 3 of Nobody Wants This, Netflix’s rabbi-meets-podcaster rom-com, which returns October 22 with 10 half-hour episodes. Between the canapés, the cast christened this outing “the champagne season.”
Consider my interest piqued.

Who Showed Up for the Housewarming
Creator and co-showrunner Erin Foster played host alongside fellow co-showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, before Bell, Brody, Jackie Tohn and Timothy Simons took the mic to toast the season ahead. Brody’s wife, Leighton Meester, was by his side (a reminder that this particular power couple has a very good track record with television that becomes a phenomenon).
The guest list was the kind of eclectic Los Angeles mix that makes a house party fun: Ciara Miller, Katie Maloney, Jillian Bell, Dayna Kathan, Melora Hardin, Monica Padman, Tallulah Willis, Tia Carrere, Taran Killam, Dexter Darden and Sasheer Zamata all turned up. Cast members Michael Hitchcock, Stephanie Faracy, Sherry Cola, Poorna Jagannathan, Stephanie Koenig, Alex Karpovsky and Jessica Blair Herman were there too, along with executive producers Sara Foster, Oly Obst and Nora Silver.

Joanne and Noah Get the Keys
As for the theme, it’s not just a cute party gimmick. After recommitting to each other at the end of last season, Joanne and Noah begin Season 3 with a shared address and something their romance has rarely had: solid ground.
Of course, anyone who has ever combined two closets knows that getting the keys is the easy part. Figuring out how to actually share a life (whose couch stays, whose family gets the holidays, whose podcast takes over the living room) is another story entirely, and there are plenty of firsts ahead.

Everyone Else Is Starting Over
Elsewhere, the romantic landscape is considerably messier. Sasha (Simons) and Esther (Tohn) are back on the dating market, with all the awkward introductions and surprise possibilities that come with starting from scratch. Meanwhile, Justine Lupe’s Morgan is fast becoming a bona fide media sensation, even as whatever is simmering between her and Sasha gets harder and harder to ignore.
A new home, fresh romantic chaos and an official champagne-season designation? There’s plenty to toast, and, if past seasons are anything to go by, at least as much to unpack.
