Haute Living and Westime Celebrate Kate Mara
On Monday night, Haute Living celebrated actress Kate Mara at Cliff’s Edge, located in the trendy Silver Lake neighborhood. The exclusive evening counted on an intimate crowd and delicious food, in honor of the sweet actress and cover star of Haute Living’s San Francisco July/August issue.
Close friends gathered at the dreamy restaurant, known for its magical tree-lined patio, charming ambiance, and delectable menu. Mara fit right into the dreamy scene, sharing laughs and chatting with her guests. The stunning actress plays the title role in the recently released film Megan Leavey.
The film tells the real-life story of a United States marine corporal and a member of the military’s canine team. Together, Leavey and German shepherd Rex saved many lives, having served over 100 missions in Iraq. Leavey herself was saved by Rex, who gave her a purpose and taught her love. It is one of the few war films in which a woman plays the lead role. Mara definitely turns up the girl power in Megan Leavey and does not disappoint.
The down-to-earth star was all smiles at Cliff’s Edge restaurant surrounded by dear friends. Cliff’s Edge crafted a delicious menu for the affair, which counted on: parker house rolls, French butter lettuce, crispy octopus, heirloom tomatoes, beef tenderloin tartare, crispy branzino, and dry-aged New York strip steak.
After the main courses, Co-Founder of Haute Media group Seth Semilof took a moment to make a toast to Mara, congratulating her on all her successes and those yet to come. Local artists, Sandy and Shelby gifted Mara a beautiful piece of artwork before dessert made its way out. Beignets and nutella pudding made the special night just that much sweeter.
Notable guests who attended to celebrate the cover star included: Editor-in-Chief Laura Schreffler, National Director of Events for Haute Media Group Violet Camacho, Jamie Bell, Jennifer Allen, Dana Hollister, Tony LeRoy, Vanessa Pereira, Taran Jones, Rebecca Orsak, John Russo, JJ Lin, Harry Chang, Coleen Campbell-Olwell, Jay Rutland, Sean Lee, Crime by Design, Cole Harris, Maria Camins, and Dr Rhonda Kalasho.
