Quick Hits: Zuma Co-Founder Set to Open New Restaurant, Etaru, in South Florida
Restaurateur Rainer Becker, co-founder of renowned global hot spot, Zuma, is set to open his newest restaurant, Etaru, at two South Florida locations. You can find the new, hip restaurant specializing in Japanese Robatayaki cuisine at The Related Group‘s Hyde Beach Club in Hallandale Beach as well as the Related Group’s ultra-luxury condominium, Icon Las Olas, in Fort Lauderdale. If you’re just as excited as we are, read more to find out what you can expect from South Florida’s newest dining destination, and why you need to check it out:
-
You can dine with a view. Both waterfront restaurants have stunning views of South Florida’s blue seas that make for the perfect dining setting whether it be for a romantic dinner, or a gorgeous weekend outing for lunch or brunch
-
It’s a neighborhood restaurant. The spot is aimed toward welcoming locals and residents alike to come dine just steps away from the white sands.
-
You can taste the best of the sea. Given the restaurant’s waterfront location, there is a heavy emphasis on Robata-grilled seafood, much like you would find at Zuma. The menu also features a wide range of fresh sushi, sashimi, raw dishes, salads, tatakis and tempura, as well as cooked Japanese specialties.
-
Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails is a multi-functional space, offering two different experiences. During the day, the ground-level beach bar will offer casual, all-day dining with Japanese influences. When the sun sets, things get a bit more formal as the restaurant and bar comes to life as the grill fires up and prepares to offer world-renowned Japanese cuisine.
-
It’s a social gathering. With 255 seats of indoor and outdoor dining, this is the perfect destination to mingle with other locals or host your own private dining event.
-
It’s bringing a taste of cosmopolitan life to the 954. As Fort Lauderdale and Hallandale become the next move from Miami for development kings like The Related Group, we’re starting to see an emergence of global dining destinations pop up in the area as well.
ETARU is located at Hyde Beach Club at 111 South Surf Road in Hallandale Beach. A second location will open in early 2018 at Icon Las Olas at 500 East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Details to follow. Website: www.etarurestaurant.us
