Ornare Hosts Ro Caviglia Art Exhibition

Up and coming Brazilian artist, Roberta Caviglia, debuted her first ever collection at Onare Tuesday evening. Joined by her husband and four sons, she proudly showcased her fascinating collection in an intimate setting among 70 guests ranging from designers and art lovers. The collection included an awe-inspiring compilation of acrylic painting, photography, and textures.

Originally, creating art as a career was not in her plan. Roberta received an architecture degree from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado in Brazil and began her career in that field. After giving birth to triplets and another son not too long after, she gave up her career as an architect to be a full-time mom. As a way of finding time for herself, she decided to turn the love she always had for visual art and photography into a hobby. As her sons grew older, Roberta had more time to dedicate to her art and Ro Caviglia Artwork was born.

Roberta does not discredit her architecture degree in terms of it assisting with her new profession as an artist. She explains, “It has helped me with the proportions, the distributions, composition, colors, and textures.” She drew her inspiration for this first collection from photographs and nature which she has experienced in her travels. When asked if her art has changed since she began, she describes it as still “very young” and “slow changing”. Roberta Caviglia is currently residing in Miami and her artwork is taking over the city.
