See J Lo, Gwyenth Paltrow, and Naomi Watts Dazzle at Met Gala
Yes, the stars came out big time for the 2017 Met Costume Institute Gala—honoring the visionary talents of Rei Kawakubo for the debut of the new exhibit Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between. While many A-listers went to the edge with the clothes they wore for the gala, regarded as fashion’s biggest night of the year, many others–among them JLo (Jennifer Lopez) Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Watts, and Behati Prinsloo Levine chose classic evening looks, all the better to show off their magnificent baubles–from Harry Winston. Even Alex Rodriguez, accompanying JLo, got into the bling, wearing diamond cufflinks. Here’s a rundown of how they dazzled.
JENNIFER LOPEZ
Wearing more than 150 carats (above) of Harry Winston diamonds. including vintage (1963) diamond earrings (42.54 carats); a 1959 diamond bracelet (57.30 carats); a Mrs. Winston Diamond Bracelet (45.05 carats); a crossover diamond ring (1.69 carats); and three band rings (with 1.87; 2.58 and 1.86 carats worth of diamonds respectively).
GWYNETH PALTROW sparkled in $2.3 million worth of the Winston diamonds that included an emerald-cut two-stone diamond drop earrings (16.31 carats), and diamond ear studs (0.8 carats).
NAOMI WATTS wore pieces from the jeweler’s Sparkling Cluster Collection, with earrings (4.26 carats), lattice diamond bracelet (26.41carats) and crossover diamond ring (1.69 carats)
BEHATI PRINSLOO LEVINE’s jewelry included Mrs. Winston diamond chandelier earrings (31.58 carats); two Secret Combination Bracelets (65.72 carats and 66.83 carats respectively); a cushion-cut diamond ring with micro-pave (7.53 carats) and an emerald-cut diamond rock band (11.54 carats) for a whopping total of 180 carats.
ALEX RODRIGUEZ wore diamond cufflinks from Winston, set in 18k white gold.
