Have an Iced Tea at Two E
June is officially Iced Tea month. With only one week left, what better than an indulgent celebration to polish off the month. Escape New York’s sweltering heat and head to Two E at the Pierre Hotel to enjoy their Iced Tea prix-fixe menu for only $24.
Especially as a Virginia native, there are times that nothing is more refreshing to me than a chilled glass of fresh brew over ice. Two E does not disappoint. Choose from mango passion black, organic peppermint or mountain berry. Charming classic touches accompany each glass. A petite vessel of simple syrup ensures you won’t have a pile of sugar at the bottom. Fresh ice cubes are dropped in your tea with silver tongs when yours melt, a seemingly inevitable habit of the beverage.
For the main course enjoy a grilled cheddar panini with a gazpacho shot, lobster salad or nicoise salad. For dessert choose a trio of sorbet or fruit tart. The lobster salad is fresh, filling and fabulous, served over thinly sliced yellow and red heirloom. The nicoise is a generous portion with fresh boiled eggs that would make Jacques Pepin proud. And the sorbet, simply smooth, refined and purely decadent. The menu is served weekdays 10.30am-3pm and will continue throughout the summer.
