Do yourself a favor in 2016, and head to little pine, Moby’s 100 percent plant-based, organic and vegan eatery in Silver Lake. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, musician, DJ and photographer finally opened the doors to his establishment in November, and in doing so, has created major buzz in Los Angeles’ meat-free community. Diners can expect to find Italian and Mediterranean fare as well as  beer, wine and low-alcohol cocktails. Patrons will also be pleased that the restaurant’s décor actually matches its cuisine: its interior resembles an Alpine Lodge, complete with pine accents and wallpaper created from a photo of snow-covered trees, shot my Moby himself.

Of the eatery, Moby told Haute Living, “I have set myself this goal of being 100 percent vegan and 100 percent organic, and I feel like that draws a line in the sand that I’m not allowed to cross. If the restaurant is losing money and I’m tempted to have non-organic food, I can’t. [little pine] has the potential to be strategic and smart, but accidentally so. A restaurant enables me to satisfy a bunch of my interests in one place: architecture, design, food, organic farming, animal welfare, veganism and community.”

In honor of Moby’s new vegan eatery (as well as our forthcoming feature on the musician and his restaurant), we decided to ask the vegan connoisseur about his very favorite vegan eateries in the world. We should note that if you’re an Angeleno, you’re not going to have to travel very far—two of his picks are right here in the City of Angels!
