Shareef Malnik Gives A Tour of His Minimalist Ocean Drive Beach House
Ever wondered what Shareef's beach house might look like? He'll give you a tour.
Malnik is not a name usually associated with minimalism, but Shareef Malnik’s Ocean Drive beach house is the embodiment of minimalism done well. In South Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, the home is the only freestanding home on Ocean Drive. It wasn’t always so, however. The home started out as an 8-unit mid-rise in the 1920’s until it was converted by its former owner. When Malnik bought the property he gutted it completely, and add a three-story extension on the back with the help of architect Juan Lezcano.
The airy, white home is centered around a stunning white staircase and boasts a third floor pool, movie theater, and double height ceilings. Have a look.
