Where to Dock and Dine in Miami

News | February 18, 2015

With the Miami International Boat Show on our radar, we’ve compiled a list of the city’s best seaside dining destinations. From elite Fisher Island eateries to hidden gems on the bay, here’s our guide for the avid yachtsman to enjoy a delicious day out on the water.

Seaspice
422 NW North River Drive
Miami, Florida 33128
305-440-4200

SEASPICE

Formerly known as Seasalt and Pepper, the newly dubbed Seaspice Miami reinvented its much-lauded establishment with a new name while preserving the essence of waterfront dining at its best. The restaurant boasts some 550 feet of private docking space and a menu focusing on simple ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. Try the Roasted Vidalia Onion, one of the kitchen’s signature Pizettas or the Whole Branzino with sea salt, lemon
and herbs.

Zuma
270 Biscayne Boulevard Way
Miami, Florida 33131
305-577-0277
ZUMA

While the food and service at Zuma’s Miami outpost has been praised since opening some four years ago, the restaurant’s EPIC Hotel location in Downtown Miami also means that boaters can conveniently pull up to the hotel’s marina and enjoy amenities including daytime and restaurant docking, on-vessel catering services and 24-hour staff and security. Go for Zuma’s decadent rice hotpot with wild mushrooms and truffle shavings and the miso-marinated black cod for sea-to-table dining at its best.

Fisher Island
One Fisher Island Drive
Fisher Island, Florida 33109
305-535-6000
FISHERISLAND

With a long list of dining options available, the luxury boater need look
no further than Fisher Island’s Beach Club. This members-only destination offers breathtaking sunset views, a “Riviera-chic” atmosphere and all-day dining options including a freestanding sushi bar.

Boater’s Grill
1200 Crandon Boulevard
Key Biscayne, Florida 33149
305-361-0080
BOATERSGRILL
Boater’s Grill is one of Miami’s best-kept secrets and a favorite amongst avid boaters and foodies alike. This hidden gem is tucked away in Cape Florida’s State Park and offers the absolute best Latin cuisine-inspired seafood delicacies in the city with an unpretentious ambiance and fabulous views. The seafood paella, fresh sangria and homemade flan (abuela’s recipe) will take your taste buds on a culinary journey exclusive to South Florida.

Lido Restaurant and Bayside Grill
The Standard Hotel
40 Island Drive
Miami Beach, Florida 33139

LIDO

This bayside eatery is inspired by the principles of Mediterranean living: healthy fare, natural elements and sun-kissed skin. The menu offers fresh, clean courses that are as decadent as they are nutritious. Executive Chef Mark Zeitouni works exclusively with organic ingredients and unprocessed foods to create a dining experience that blends flavor with nourishing properties. With a docking fee of $1.50 per-foot, the dock space allows for a limited number of diners to arrive by boat.

Gibraltar
4 Grove Isle Drive
Coconut Grove, Florida 33133
305-857-5007
GIBRALTAR

Accessible by boat through Grove Isle Hotel and Spa’s 85-slip Marina, Gibraltar is a romantic choice for date nights and special occasions. The spectacular views from the outdoor terrace create a warm and magical environment to enjoy a modern American meal with Mediterranean influences. The selection of tapas, Honey-Balsamic Glazed Salmon and Truffle French Fries are just some of the menu choices we enjoy most.
