World renowned watch brand, Breguet, welcomed the internationally acclaimed San Francisco Symphony to the Tourbillon Boutique on 231 Post Street for a private dinner and concert. The evening was an exclusive invitation-only affair hosted by U.S. Brand Manager, Mr. Michael Nelson for a few dozen of the brand’s most important clients. It marked the first time ever that the San Francisco Symphony performed at a timepiece retail venue.

Guests enjoyed a delectable sit down feast preceded by musical entertainment featuring a string trio of musicians—Victor Romasevich on violin, Jill Brindel on cello and Wayne Roden on viola. The program of the evening included the first movement of Beethoven Serenade, Op. 8 and last two movements from Mozart Divertimento, K.563.

“The San Francisco Symphony is grateful for its partnership with Breguet and Tourbillon Boutique, and for their sponsorship of our Chinese New Year concert,” said Sakurako Fisher, President, San Francisco Symphony. “We’re delighted to be at the boutique to celebrate the success of our special event leadership, which raised significant funds to support the Symphony’s education and community programs.”

Music and Breguet have a long historical link. Throughout its 239 year of existence, Breguet timepieces have been worn by such classical music legends as pianist Arthur Rubenstein and composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. The mutual appreciation is prominently displayed by the brand’s musical wristwatch, La Musical. This stunning innovation is an awe-inspiring music box timepiece playing “Badinerie,” by Johann Sebastian Bach.

In addition to paying tribute to its patrons, Breguet has continued its legacy of preserving arts and culture around the world. In recent years, Breguet has supported numerous global institutions via sponsorships and underwriting projects to further this mission. From The Louvre in Paris, to Carnegie Hall in New York City, Breguet is dedicated to cultivating a thriving community of music and art aficionados.
