Chanel Is Taking Over the Meatpacking District During NYFW With Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu

Chanel transforms a Meatpacking District space into a fragrance experience celebrating the new Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu Eau de Parfum.

There’s no denying Chanel knows how to make an entrance. To celebrate the launch of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, the house is transforming a space at 873 Washington Street in New York City’s Meatpacking District into a full fragrance experience across two weekends this September — starting with NYFW.

The space is conceived as a café-inspired setting, echoing the newly unveiled campaign featuring Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and Chanel ambassador Gracie Abrams. Guests can take a seat at the bar or a table and move through a personalized Coco Mademoiselle fragrance discovery centered on the new Crush Absolu scent, alongside the full Coco Mademoiselle line — including complementary hair and body products — and new and iconic Chanel makeup creations. There is also the opportunity to purchase on-site, which means leaving with a new fragrance is entirely possible, and perhaps inevitable.

Crush Absolu itself is the work of Olivier Polge, Chanel’s in-house Perfumer Creator, who describes it as “a call to be bold and confidently express yourself.” The Eau de Parfum moves through fruity, floral, and woody-ambery accords, with patchouli — a signature of the Coco Mademoiselle family — elevated by ambery notes with vanilla accents and vetiver. The result is something Polge calls indescribable in the best possible way: masculine and feminine at once, potent without being obvious, the kind of scent that announces itself without trying to.

The event is free and open to the public on September 11 from noon to 7 PM, September 12 and 13 from 10 AM to 7 PM, and again on September 18 from noon to 7 PM, with September 19 and 20 running 10 AM to 7 PM. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended — book here.
