Malka West Palm Beach Brings the Soul of Tel Aviv to Sunday Brunch

Malka West Palm Beach launches a refined Sunday brunch featuring Israeli flavors, fresh baked breads, open fire cooking and Mediterranean cocktails.

Malka West Palm Beach is giving Sunday mornings a distinctly Tel Aviv inspired character with the launch of its new brunch, a leisurely weekend experience built around fresh baked bread, open fire cooking, Mediterranean flavors and an atmosphere designed for lingering. Located at 209 6th Street in West Palm Beach, Florida, the kosher Israeli restaurant from celebrated chef Eyal Shani now serves brunch exclusively on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., bringing a relaxed taste of Israel to one of South Florida’s most vibrant dining destinations.

The new Sunday ritual is rooted in the idea that brunch should feel less like a scheduled meal and more like an occasion. Malka’s approach takes inspiration from Tel Aviv mornings, where food, sunlight and conversation naturally extend around the table. At its West Palm Beach location, the experience combines the restaurant’s open fire wood burning grill, homemade bakery program and a bottomless brunch cocktail offering designed for leisurely celebrations.

The setting plays an important role in that experience. Malka occupies a historic building that has been reimagined through Israeli craftsmanship, with architecture by More Gelfand of Tel Aviv’s Kimmel Eshkolot Architects. The restaurant uses bespoke materials sourced directly from Israel, including Jerusalem stone like marble, Corten metal and a striking wall constructed from 24,000 custom perforated Ackerstein concrete blocks. A Mediterranean inspired garden, anchored by a traditional olive tree, frames the restaurant’s al fresco seating and works naturally with West Palm Beach’s signature breezeway.

In the morning, that environment takes on a softer, sun washed quality. The combination of Israeli design elements, Mediterranean landscaping and outdoor seating creates an atmosphere intended to transport diners from downtown West Palm Beach to the feeling of a relaxed weekend in Tel Aviv. It is a setting that complements the unhurried character Malka has built into its new brunch program.

At the center of the menu is bread. Malka’s homemade bakery program produces every loaf, bun and bagel fresh each morning without preservatives. Chef Loel Müller, the restaurant’s Culinary Director, has shaped the brunch around this commitment to handmade baking, pairing the fresh breads with dishes prepared on the restaurant’s custom GrillWorks open fire grill.

Among the standout dishes is the Perfect Jerusalem Bagel Cradling Two Eggs, priced at $26. The traditional sesame crusted Jerusalem bagel is baked in house each day and served with two eggs. The Malka Burger, priced at $28, places the restaurant’s signature burger inside a soft, pillowy bun baked fresh that morning. For a lighter but equally distinctive option, the Egg Salad Bruschetta, priced at $16, brings the classic brunch combination onto Malka’s homemade sourdough.

For Chef Müller, the bakery is more than an accompaniment to the menu. Bread represents a fundamental part of Malka’s culinary identity, with the daily process of making it by hand becoming an expression of care as much as flavor. That philosophy gives the brunch a sense of craft that is immediately apparent in dishes built around the restaurant’s freshly baked breads.

The broader menu explores the full range of Chef Eyal Shani’s Israeli table. Diners can begin with Red Shakshuka, featuring eggs poached in spiced tomato, or opt for Fried Eggs and Minute Steak & Eggs, Our Way for a more substantial brunch. The vegetables and earthly creations section includes Malka’s signature hummus, the Nostalgia of an Old City Mezze spread and a Pile of Green Beans prepared with olive oil, garlic and lemon zest. Gazpacho and a Field of Greens salad offer lighter alternatives.

For guests looking for something more indulgent, the menu moves into dishes such as Beef Tartare, whole grilled Branzino and Entrecôte cooked over Malka’s open flame. The meal can finish with house made sweets including Baklava, Pistachio Cake and Cinnamon Roll, giving the brunch a distinctly generous progression from savory Israeli favorites to dessert.

The brunch experience also introduces a Bottomless Brunch Cocktails program priced at $35 per person. Available exclusively during Sunday brunch, the two hour offering includes cocktails from Malka’s brunch menu, with every guest at the table required to participate.

Among the more distinctive drinks is the Frozen Tahini Espresso Martini, a chilled reinterpretation of Malka’s Tahini Espresso Martini combining tahini, espresso and vodka. The frozen presentation adds a playful dimension to a cocktail that already reflects the restaurant’s willingness to bring unexpected Israeli and Mediterranean influences into familiar formats.

The Frozen Mint Lemonade offers a brighter alternative and can be ordered with or without alcohol. Completing the bottomless cocktail selection are three Malka originals: the Mimosa, made with Crémant d’Alsace and orange juice; the Nosy Rosie Spritz, combining Crémant d’Alsace with mint, lemon and rose water; and the Buena Vista, bringing together Bacardi rum, grapefruit and lime juice, mint syrup and a sparkling float.

For West Palm Beach diners, the new Sunday brunch adds another dimension to Malka’s presence in the city. Rather than simply adapting a conventional brunch format, the restaurant has built the experience around the flavors, craftsmanship and atmosphere that define its Israeli identity. The open fire grill, homemade breads, Mediterranean garden and cocktail program work together to create a meal that feels distinctly connected to the restaurant’s broader culinary philosophy.
