San Francisco Celebrates Denise Hale’s Birthday In Style

Denise Hale, the empress of San Francisco society, was celebrated last Saturday night at a masked ball hosted by interior designer Ken Fulk and Kurt Wootton.
Hundreds of Mrs. Hale’s closest, most elegant friends in San Francisco enjoyed the birthday party way into the early morning at the South of Market locale.

The atmosphere suggested the energy of Studio 54 and the theatricality of “Eyes Wide Shut,” but avoided devolving into anything unseemly (San Francisco is more conservative than many think.)
