Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Inducts Catherine Martin

It’s been a big week of award-winning for Catherine Martin. 

Not only did the costume designer take home two Oscars on Sunday night for her work on the Great Gatsby, but she was also the 21st person to ever been inducted into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style. 

The Australian designer was honored at a fete held at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills on Feb. 28, which was attended by fellow Oscar winner Cate Blanchett and Tobey Maguire of Gatsby fame.

Presenters at the event included Beverly Hills Mayor John Mirisch, Art Directors Guild President Mimi Gramatky, Costume Designer Guild President Sal Perez, Rodeo Drive Committee President Jim Jahant, and Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Chairman Peri Ellen Berne.

Guests included representatives of both the fashion and entertainment industries, including Grammy Award^® winner Lorde, Academy Award^® winning cinematographer Dion Beebe, Anne V, Harold Perrineau, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kiernan Shipka, Daisy Fuentes, “The Great Gatsby” producer Lucy Fisher and Warner Bros.’ Sue Kroll and Dan Fellman.

Representatives of the fashion world came out to honor Martin as well, including Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman; supermodel Jessica White; vintage style expert Cameron Silver and fashion designer David Meister.

As the 21st inductee, Martin joins a host of past honorees that include Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, Gianni and Donatella Versace, photographer Mario Testino, costume designer Edith Head, and editor Diana Vreeland.
