David Rockwell, founder and President of Rockwell Group, has unveiled the first look of Brickell Heights in honor of the Academy Awards, for which he has been tapped to design award show’s famous greenroom.

In 2009 and 2010, Rockwell Group designed the sets for the Oscars’ stage. Now, they are decorating the greenroom with new and vintage furnishings in neutral hues and pops of color. The room  will also feature artwork co-curated by Rockwell and Academy Award-winner Susan Sarandon.

Rockwell has teamed up with The Related Group to create a modern-yet-classic design, similar to that of the Oscar greenroom, for their latest project, Brickell Heights. The 690-unit luxury condominium tower, anchored by a 35,000-square-foot, three-story Equinox Fitness Club, is designed by internationally renowned architectural firm Arquitectonica. The collaboration of these big names in design and development set high expectations for the new project.

“For Brickell Heights, we were inspired by the elegant simplicity and rich, evocative material palette of mid-century design,” said David Rockwell. “The interiors will re- interpret the glamour of the art, design and culture of that era, but with a contemporary twist.”Rockwell_Brickell Hieghts_Rooftop
