Whether it’s luxury leather goods, silky scarves, or over-the-top parties, nobody quite does it like Hermès. The storied French brand threw an extravaganza in the Design District’s Moore Building that will surely not be topped for a long time to come. All the heavies showed up including Craig RobinsRobert B. Chavez, President and CEO of Hermes and Men’s Artistic Director Véronique Nichanian. Artist Leandro Erlich was tapped by the fashion house to create a living and interactive world of Hermès. Lucky guests checked in and received an RFID to use before going on a journey through a series of installations that included male models outfitted in Hermès high in the rafters, playing chess in wooden elevators and on the dance floor. They were even shirtless in a locker room situation complete with a shower and fogged mirrors that used the RFID technology to write personalized questions asked fun questions of guests. A boxing ring with a photo booth also used the tech to send pix to personalized microsites post event. But the party wasn’t all tech and clothing – food and bubbly were everywhere. Lobster, copious quantities of French cheese, and cured meats were among the delicacies served. See the entire men’s collection at hermes.com.
