Burger Kitchen Opens on W 3rd Street
Sometimes we should all make like Hall and Oates and make a list of the best things in life. First, find a kiss to put on there. Done? Okay, let’s get down to the business of filling the rest of it out.
Not everyone’s list will look the same, and thank goodness for that. However, we’re willing to put money on the fact approximately 95% of all people would include hamburgers on that list. (By “people” we’ve politely excluded vegetarians.) Whatever percentage of “people” live close to W 3rd Street and Crescent Heights, or are willing to drive there, just got 95% happier. Alan Saffron and his son Daniel Saffron have opened Burger Kitchen for your dining pleasure. Considering the name of the establishment, they’ve ambitiously invited you to train your palate on a whole new realm of hamburger.
Burger Kitchen’s menu offers 22 burgers. Read it and weep – 22 burgers. There are classic gourmet accompaniments like heirloom tomatoes, caramelized onions, and pickles alongside a version of In ‘N Out’s “protein-style” burger, which comes wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. Check out their Burgers Around the World section where you can try a Greek burger while your partner in crime tests out the Eiffel Tower.
The Saffron men have assumed that your list will also include craft beers and dessert, so they’ve offered 20 of craft beers and dreamt up a dessert burger. We assume that the dessert burger strays from the generally unexplored meat-and-chocolate combination. Although we’re not judging if that’s on your list.
Burger Kitchen is located at 8048 W 3rd Street in Los Angeles (323) 944-0503
