Sarah Jessica Parker And Jeremy Piven To Attend Screening and Cast Reunion Of Miami Rhapsody At MIFF

To kick off its 30th year, the Miami International Film Festival is holding a special screening of Miami Rhapsody, the now classic film which first debuted at the festival in 1995. The screening takes place February 8th, in advance of the festival which starts on March 1st and runs through the 10th. Directed by David Frankel, the romantic comedy stars a young Sarah Jessica Parker, Jeremy Piven, Carla Gugino, Antonio Banderas, Mia Farrow, and Kevin Pollack. Set and filmed in Miami, the movie is about a young copywriter (Parker) who seeks out her family’s advice before saying “yes” to her boyfriend Matt’s proposal. Upon connecting with them, she learns that her mother, father, brother, and newlywed sister are all having affairs!

The screening will take place at 7:00 PM on February 8th at the Miami Dade Tower Theater followed by a Rhapsody cast reunion party at 9:00 PM at the Coral Gables Country Club. Sarah Jessica Parker, Carla Gugino, Jeremy Piven, and director David Frankel are all set to attend.

The party will be hosted by the Toronto-based Liberty Entertainment Group, and feature cocktails by Bacardi in addition to a chance to rub elbows with the stars. Tickets are General Admission for $130.00 and include entrance to screening as well as entrance to reunion party. All proceeds will go to the 30th Anniversary Miami International Film Festival.
