M. John Richard

M. John Richard has served as president and chief executive officer of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County since December 2008. In his first year in Miami, he achieved a number of accomplishments, cementing the Adrienne Arsht Center’s missions of being a presenter of world-class performances, an openly-accessible community resource, and a catalyst for economic growth in its neighborhood. At the same time, he has helped ensure the Center’s institutional and financial strength; 2009 saw the organization balance its budget for the second-straight year and pay off its last remaining bank debt seven years ahead of schedule. In addition, a new $5 million gift was secured for the Center’s Endowment under his leadership.
