Taste of the Nation Event Raises $250,000 for Charity in Los Angeles

West Hollywood’s premier dining festival, Taste of the Nation, took place over the weekend and managed to raise $250,000 on tickets alone, which will go directly toward supporting local food banks to help stop childhood hunger.
Approximately 45 restaurants were represented at the event and chefs manned the booths as they served guests with dishes such as Black Market’s Korean fried chicken, Cook County’s grilled beef skewers and strawberry ice cream cones, chorizo con huevo from FIG restaurant and chili-friend chicken from Whist.
Local bars were also well represented, including Harvard & Stone, La Descarga, 1886, The Golden State, Stone Brewing and Library Alehouse. Desserts were presented by places such as The Larder at Maple Drive, Short Cake and Valerie Confections.
