The Tripel, the gastropub based in Playa del Rey, will be celebrating American Craft Beer Week with a special dinner on Monday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. They’ll team up with Smog City Brewery, a craft brewery from Tustin. The night will feature unique brews and a special four-course tasting menu by Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts.

With the slogan “Find Food and Libations,” The Tripel is known for its chill vibes and great beer selection. It just opened last year and already boasts a popular following. The staff is noted as attentive and helpful with their food and drink recommendations.

The American Craft Beer Week night will start off with a cocktail beer hour, and then continue with a special four-course menu. Each selection on the menu will be paired with a limited edition Smog City beer. Start off the meal with a hot and sour cockle soup with saison runnings, a sweetened egg omelet, and wood ear mushrooms. The next savory course is a beet pasta with wild boar ragout and porcini mushrooms. Move on to the third course, featuring a black bread with rabbit Pâté and pickled icicle radish. Finish off the dinner with a house made box of candies.

Learn more about the dinner by visiting The Tripel online or at 333 Culver Boulevard in Playa Del Rey.
