Philippe Starck Creates One-Of-A-Kind Marina in Mallorca
The new Port Adriano Marina in Mallorca by Philippe Starck is quite a sight to see. It’s almost invisible while pared down an elegant structure that is home to restaurants, bars, a car park, fashion and nautical stores, as well as a marina.
Starck was brought aboard by Antonio Zaforteza, owner of Ocibar, which is the island’s flourishing nautical-management company.
For the marina, Starck drew upon his intense dislike for onsite parking spaces, instead creating a structure that artfully concealed an underground car park below sea level.
