Legendary designer and founder of the interior design company, yoo, Philippe Starck has collaborated with real estate developer Century Properties Group Inc. for the creation of a new luxury residential tower in Manila, Philippines.

Set to launch in the second quarter of 2012, the tower will be literally a vertical community.  Think a whole village that has levels instead of streets.  This is the fourth such project by Century Properties in Manila; others include Trump Tower Manila, The Milano Residences designed by Versace Home and a condominium project designed by Missoni Home.

Starck is no novice to the design world, since 1982, he has embarked on hundreds of projects ranging from interior design for restaurants, hotels and homes to smaller things like toothbrushes, alarm clocks and motorcycles.

In 1999 Starck founded yoo, an interior-design firm that is responsible for the design of over 10,000 homes in 31 cities throughout Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and North and South America.

The tower in Manila will highlight quality of life and happiness that Starck strives for in all of his projects.
