U2’s Bono Invests In Yelp

Calling all yelpers…San Francisco-based Yelp, the Web site that lists and reviews local businesses, said Wednesday that Elevation Partners will buy $25 million worth of preferred stock in Yelp. According to the San Francisco Business Times, Elevation Partners will eventually increase its total investment to $100 million.

Big name investors of Elevation include Fred Anderson, Marc Bodnick, Rajiv Dutta, Roger McNamee, Bret Pearlman and Avie Tevanian and U2’s Bono.
