Larry King Recognized by Ulysse Nardin as He Embarks on Post-Broadcast Career

Larry King was a part of the lives of several generations during his run on CNN’s “Larry King Live.” But now, with his recent announcement of finally retiring King has decided to continue his work – in the restaurant industry.

On April 1, Swiss watch manufacturer Ulysse Nardin presented the legendary broadcaster with a personalized Executive Dual Time timepiece as King celebrated opening the West Coast’s first Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. restaurant in Beverly Hills.

This carefully handcrafted timepiece, the Executive Dual Time, has a unique patented time zone quick setting to instantly adjust the hour hand to another local time without taking the watch off the wrist. The one given to King personally by Ulysse Nardin, an 18-karat rose gold watch that is water resistant up to 100 meters with sapphire crystals, a silverized dial and an exclusive rubber strap with a ceramic deployment clasp, bezel and pushers.

“Ulysse Nardin timepieces are heirlooms that can be passed down to family members to enjoy for years to come,” King said. “This timepiece helps me mark my transition from one phase of my life to the next, taking me from Brooklyn to Beverly Hills.”

Ulysse Nardin recently opened its first free-standing boutique in the United States in the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton, Florida, which serves as Ulysse Nardin’s U.S. flagship store.  More than 120 of the company’s innovative timepieces are on display here, including some limited edition pieces unique to this location.
