Haute Event: Drake Celebrates New Year’s Eve with Special Live Performance at the W South Beach

Lebron James knows that he chose the best city to live and play, which is why he stayed in town for the hottest party of the decade at the W hotel in South Beach. The New Year’s Eve festivities began at 9 p.m. at WET, the W’s chic poolside lounge, where guests counted down to 2011 in style, followed by a live performance by Grammy-nominated and platinum recording artist Drake. The party then moved on into the W’s hot club WALL for its post-midnight bash with New York-based 4AM DJs, DJ Phresh, DJ Sinatra and DJ Prince, along with Haute Living’s very own official deejay, DJ Irie.

Tickets to this exclusive event started at $400 and featured a red carpet that included a VIP guest list of some the top names in Hollywood. Attendees included Kelly Rowland, Serena Williams, Al Reynolds, Jessica White, Vivica A. Fox, Gucci Mane, Bell Biv Devoe, Miami Ink’s Chris Nunez, Russell Simmons’ daughter Angela Simmons, Aryn Cole from “All My Children” and Interscope recording artist Jared Evan.
